
Taylor Winslow, MA
Biography:
Mrs. Taylor Marchelle Winslow鈥檚 lifelong passion for economics, applied mathematics, and business analytics is evident by her own education: she holds both a B.A. and M.A. in economics and is currently finishing her Ph.D. in education where her research is on effective and equitable teaching methods for college-level mathematics/applied mathematics. During her undergraduate and graduate studies at California State University, Sacramento, she served as a teaching assistant, graduate teaching assistant, research assistant, and supplemental instructor for various upper and lower-division economics undergraduate courses through CSUS鈥檚 Peer and Academic Resource Center, all of which solidified her love for teaching and her calling to academia.
Prior to teaching at a4yy午夜福利, Taylor also worked for the CalPERS Investment Office where she was responsible for international economic and financial research that aided the portfolio managers鈥 investment decisions. Though presented with numerous opportunities to advance in her career in finance, Taylor felt the Lord鈥檚 guidance back to academia. So shortly after receiving her master鈥檚 degree in 2017 she began teaching economics, business, and mathematics at a4yy午夜福利 and has felt at home ever since. In addition to teaching at Jessup, Taylor accepted a secondary teaching position from 2018 to 2020 within her alma mater鈥檚 economics department and was recognized by the university as an Outstanding Educator for the CSUS 鈥淲ellness in the Classroom Project鈥 during her time there.
Outside of work and school, Taylor serves as the director for a Sacramento-based nonprofit women鈥檚 scholarship program and spends time with her husband, son, and two loyal dogs.
