The Associate of Arts in General Studies is a flexible, two-year program designed to give you a well-rounded academic experience. You’ll study across disciplines—including humanities, science, communication, and theology—while developing essential skills that apply to nearly any field.

This program is ideal if you’re still exploring your academic path or planning to continue into a bachelor’s degree. Through a combination of general education coursework and electives, you’ll gain both clarity and confidence in your next steps.

Rooted in Jessup’s Christ-centered mission, the program integrates faith with learning—helping you think deeply, communicate clearly, and engage the world with purpose.

Learning Outcomes
Students who complete the Associate of Arts in General Studies program will be able to:

Articulate a Christian worldview.

Utilize systematic inquiry in mathematics, scientific thought, and the critical analysis of data and argument. 

Demonstrate competence and effectiveness in written expression and oral communication. 

Express an informed sensitivity to the variety of human experience through the study of human culture, society, history, and behavior. 

Demonstrate a perceptive appreciation of visual and performance art, music, literature, or poetry.
